Patagonia, 2026 & beyond

I didn’t take a single day off between mid-November and Christmas Eve. I even worked on Thanksgiving for 5 hours.

It was a blur of early mornings and late nights—packing orders, doing all weekend holiday markets, computer work with clients, and saying yes to one more thing when my body probably wanted me to stop. The kind of grind that happens when you’re building something you deeply care about. Exhausting, yes. But also meaningful.

The holidays were big for The Sample Room this year. Bigger than I expected. Watching so many of you fall in love with the Workwear Jacket—especially the indigo-dyed ones—was honestly surreal. Seeing them sell in real time, knowing how much care went into each detail, felt incredibly grounding. Like a quiet but firm reminder: this work matters.

Somewhere in the middle of all that, my partner and I designed the Keepin’—our magnetic pin holder. A small object, but one that felt so aligned with how we both work and make. It became a surprisingly perfect holiday gift, and I’m really excited to share it properly once it’s live on the site.

And then, finally, some rest. The day after Christmas, we left for Patagonia.

Two and a half weeks of wide open space. Hiking with my partner’s family. Long walks where conversation drifted naturally. Mountains that made my mental to-do list feel laughably small. Days where I didn’t open my computer once—not because I couldn’t, but because I didn’t want to.

Being that close to nature has a way of resetting everything. It reminded me how steady the world is, even when my own feels loud and urgent. I came home rested in a way that sleep alone doesn’t fix—like my nervous system finally exhaled.

Now I’m back, already moving at full speed again—but differently.

We’re launching the new Sample Room website (hopefully today). I’m planning new styles every month in 2026, which might be slightly unhinged, but also feels exciting in the best way. The kind of excitement that comes from clarity and rest.

This year, I want to keep building with intention (my word for this year). The holidays gave me the courage to keep going and gave me the momentum to do things more thoughtfully. Keep showing up for this community. Keep making clothes and objects that feel useful, thoughtful, and worth keeping. And making a positive impact on the earth.

2026—let’s f*cking go.
