To accurately asses the fit you want, it can be helpful to compare a similar garment you already own. Lay your garment on a flat surface & take your measurements from the outside of the garment.
If this is a lot to take in, its safe to say: If you want an oversized fit, purchase your actual size. If you want a regular fit, size down.
